Budget accommodation in Cape Tribulation

Cape Tribulation has several choices in budget accommodation, offering dormitory accommodation, cabins, double rooms and family rooms.
Most of these budget accommodation places below are near the beach, two near Myall Beach and one right on Cape Tribulation Beach.
Crocodylus is situated in Cow Bay, roughly halfway between the Daintree river and Cape Tribulation.

Cape Trib Beach House, Cape Tribulation

Located on Cape Tribulation Beach, the Cape Trib Beach House puts you right in the middle of some of the oldest rainforest alive today while still being right on the edge of the coral sea. You can swim right off the beach and see living coral reef, with schools of bright fish. Wander through the forest and you spot the elusive cassowary or one of many other rare creatures that make this forest their home.

We are situated in between the World Heritage rainforest areas of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef. This is a unique location for a youth hostel. Everyone is welcome at the Crocodylus village, and will enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere. Our jungle restaurant provides beautiful homely meals. Being in a remote area, we generate our own electricity and have our own general store. There are miles upon miles of sandy beach which can be reached on our bus service for free! Daintree Rainforest Retreat, Cow Bay

The motel suites reflect the environment in which we live, with bright airy decore, high ceilings with fans, kitchenette, comfy queen size beds or lounge chairs and cane chairs on the verandahs.
We also have a large saltwater swimming pool open till 10:00pm. If you are lucky enough to bring back a Barramundi or a Reef fish, make use of our free gas B.B.Q.
